Who is MAC?

We are Medics Across Continents, a medical aid charity committed to providing free medical surgeries for underprivileged populations around the world. We are based in London, but our reach is across the globe.

Our Community

Our charity is comprised of specialised doctors who offer their expertise free of charge, for the saving and improving lives. We focus on regions in Africa and South Asia where access to quality medical care is often limited, and areas are affected by conflict, or natural disasters.

Our Chairman

MAC takes pride in its exclusiveness. Led by a UK renowned Professor and Urologist Matin Sheriff, MAC’s niche is their enviable database of international and local medical specialists who are prepared to travel to remote areas to perform life changing surgeries.

We believe in fostering autonomy and building sustainable medical capacities in the countries we serve. Hence, we place a emphasis on training local doctors, passing on the expertise required to perform complex surgeries independently.

Our intention is to leave a lasting legacy in each community; when we’re not physically present, local doctors, enriched by our training programs, can step forward confidently to carry on the work.

Our aim is thus two-fold: to save lives directly through our surgical interventions and to enable continued care through knowledge transfer, ultimately creating a ripple effect of improved healthcare across the globe.
