Acute hunger at massive scale: 1.6 million people (77%) are facing levels of acute food insecurity, and four governorates are classified in Emergency through April 2026.

Children are being hit hard: UNICEF reported 5,119 children (6 months–5 years) admitted for acute malnutrition treatment in May 2025 alone, including 636 with severe acute malnutrition.

Worsening risk ahead: at least 132,000 children under five are expected to suffer acute malnutrition, including 41,000 severe cases at heightened risk of death.

Hot meals are a frontline lifeline: hot meal distribution has continued at very large scale — as of 3 December 2025, 1,627,000 hot meals were delivered through 209 kitchens.
