Pakistan Cataract Surgery (£50)
£50.00
By supporting cataract surgeries for underprivileged people in Pakistan, you help fund access to a procedure that can restore sight — enabling many patients to return to daily activities, regain independence, and, where possible, return to work and support their families with dignity.
Cataracts can slowly steal someone’s sight — making it hard to read, work, walk safely, or care for family. In Pakistan, a large national survey of adults aged 30+ found cataract was the single biggest cause of blindness (51.5%), and estimated around 904,000 adults had cataract severe enough (<6/60) to require surgery.
Cataract surgery is the standard treatment and is widely recognised as one of the most cost-effective health interventions, with strong potential to restore sight.
