Pakistan Eyecare For Children (£30)

£30.00

With your donation, we can fund essential eye tests and properly fitted glasses for children from low-income communities in Pakistan. This support helps children see the board, read confidently, and take part fully in learning leading to measurable improvements in educational performance. Your donation will also provide free eye medication, if upon examination, a child is found to need it.

Many children in Pakistan struggle at school simply because they can’t see the board clearly — and in low-income households, even a basic eye test and a pair of glasses can be out of reach. Globally, the WHO estimates at least 2.2 billion people live with near or distance vision impairment, and in at least 1 billion cases it could have been prevented or is still unaddressed — with uncorrected refractive error among the leading causes.

When a child can’t see clearly, they can fall behind in the classroom — not because they lack ability, but because they lack something as simple as an eye test and glasses. In Pakistan, school screening research has found a meaningful share of children diagnosed with refractive error, yet many families cannot afford assessment and spectacles.
